Jayco Inc. introduced the 2012 White Hawk in their line of ultra-light travel trailers. The recreational vehicle manufacturer issued a press release describing the features and amenities of this travel trailer. The 2012 White Hawk comes with all the features of a traditional travel trailer. However, it can be towed by most of the mid-size SUV’s and half-ton pickups.

Ben Johnson, the brand manager for the White Hawk trailers said, “We recognize the lightweight market is more competitive today than ever before. The goal was to provide a unit that could be towed by most family vehicles but offers standard amenities and features not traditionally found on units in this price range. We wanted to make the entire camping experience even more enjoyable for the owner, from towing to set up to take down”.

The press release issued by Jayco also states that the 2012 White Hawk comes with a more spacious living area, as it has a 36-inch deep slide-room that increases the amount of expandable space by double than the other ultra-lightweight units available in the market. Other standard features of this recreational vehicle include:

    • MaxView dinette window, providing extra light and comfort
    • A thermal package with an enclosed and heated underbelly
    • Chill ‘N Store outdoor baggage compartment along with a 1.5 cubic foot exterior refrigerator
    • Extra exterior lights for additional safety and convenience
    • Wide-Stance Tracker Axles, allowing more stable towing
    • 4 inch crowned and fully-walkable roof
    • Radial tires
    • Standard premium exterior paint package
