Does a 5th wheel hitch tripod really help stabilize the camper?

I have the Bal 25035 Deluxe Fifth Wheel Stabilizer Tripod and have found that it does really help with front to back and side to side movement. I previously had a aluminum unit that I was very dissapointed with and ended up stripping the threads on the adjustment screw trying to get it tight enough to make a difference. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know the best place to buy the BAL stabilizer. Just went to Camping World to get one and all they have is the aluminum type with the screw on the top.

I found stabilizer mine on ebay. I saved about $50.00 even after shipping.

Sorry about late answer but yes, the tripod really helps and we bought ours from Amazon for about $70.00. It is steel. HTH
